The rooms at this hotel may be on the smaller side, but they are clean and tidy, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff at the reception desk went above and beyond to provide friendly and helpful service, even offering assistance with luggage. The restaurant in this hotel serves seriously good food, with dishes like sublime cauliflower soup and excellent porridge. The quality of the food is outstanding.

While there are areas that could be improved upon, overall, this hotel provided a good night's sleep and exceptional dinner.

I liked the friendlyness of the staff. They were also very helpful. I was working varying hours and they were very helpful to accommodate that.

We arrived late in the evening when all the tables were full we were given a table set up in the empty guest lounge and treated like royalty. Bar food was an excellent standard the staff were very friendly and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

Room was a little tired. No shower curtain but on trying the shower which was a dribble could understand why.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The food served at the hotel was absolutely delicious, especially the steaks and home made ice cream - a true culinary delight. the spacious rooms provided a comfortable and clean environment for a weekend getaway.

Although the hotel had its charms, the accommodation itself could definitely benefit from some improvements. The furniture in the rooms appeared outdated, and some amenities, like the bath, were in need of repair.

decor in need of attention, bedroom furniture well worn, double bedroom very small, no pressure in shower, self serve breakfast good choice but bacon, sausage, egg etc. cold with lying and obviously nobody checking temperature of this!

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. the value for money was excellent, especially considering the prices in the Aberdeenshire area. Secondly, the staff were friendly and provided attentive service throughout my stay. Additionally, the basic amenities in the room, such as the large, comfortable bed, were perfect for a good night's sleep. Lastly, the location of the hotel, with its lovely view over the estuary, was a bonus and added to the overall appeal.

All aspects of my stay were satisfactory.

The building is old and needs some attention we enjoyed our short overnight stay. Homely comfortable. When we telephone the following night to say we left a travelling rug behind no problem to be sent. As we were attending a function across the street we were told that the hotel had change hands and was on the up. We agreed with this All the best for the future.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in several ways. the location was fantastic as it overlooked a beautiful golf course and provided stunning views of the estuary. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Additionally, the room itself was spacious and had a large, extremely comfortable bed. It was clear that attention to detail was important, as the amenities provided were exactly what we needed. Lastly, the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the value for money we received.

Despite some minor issues, overall our stay at this hotel was excellent.

Our stay coincided with a change of ownership of the hotel. Despite the obvious potential for disruption, the new owners and their staff looked after us well. The ambition for their tenure was set out by the owners and on our third and final evening the service and food certainly showed that they ought to realise their ambitions. I have already recommend this hotel to friends and hope to return myself for another visit.

All of the staff there there were very helpful and friendly. The food and service was of a very high standard. Being able to walk a short distance to the beach from the hotel (15 minutes) and then to be able to watch the wildlife there, including the huge colony of seals was an added bonus for us. The location is quite but also handy for Aberdeen centre, only a short drive away.

The hotel was conveniently located near my business meetings and had free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helped me carry my bags up to my room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, making for a decent night's sleep.

The restaurant was a letdown. The food was overpriced and underwhelming.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Dinner in the dining room was overpriced, but meals in the bar were excellent.

The hotel is two old houses joined together. The rooms are fairly small. I was Ok , but my son, daughter-in-law and grandson had to share a room and were very cramped.

Being slighly off the beaten track in Newburgh, there is little or no traffic noise and the dawn chorus and evensong were a delight. The hotel looks over the golf course and sand dunes and the little burn that runs behind the hotel is full of terns and ducks. The restaurant serves very good food and has an elevated view over the burn and dunes.

The only drawback is its distance to Aberdeen city centre (about 12 miles) and a taxi would be about £30 each way.
